The Illinois Department of Health has sent a letter to all parents explaining that beginning with the coming 2013-2014 school year, ALL children in grades 6th through 12th grades will require proof of having had a Tdap vaccination.

Our preschool class has won First Place in the preschool division of the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) Junior American Citizen contest !!
Mrs. Virginia Bishop, the National Defense Chairman, stated: "the submission of the booklet of photos with the Highwood Fire Department was well done and absolutely inspiring."
Our preschool class will receive and Award Certificate and pin at the Awards Ceremony, on Thursday, February 14th at the CROYA Center in Lake Forest. Several other award winners will be present from other North Shore Schools, including the junior high school Historical Essay winners, who will read their essays, and high school students, who will receive Good Citizen Awards.
We are so proud of our preschool teacher, Mrs. Nori Polivka, our aides Ms. Angela Leske and Mrs. Lili Palma and all of our students!! Once again, we are assured that St. James Parish School is one of excellence!.
