Booster Club

The St. James School Booster Club is a volunteer organization responsible for administering, organizing and fund-raising that helps provide athletic programs for St. James School children.  These programs include boys and girls basketball and volleyball, and cheerleading.

Our organization relies totally on volunteers. Experience in not a pre-requisite to be involved in this organization, just a desire to make a positive difference in the children’s experience.  We are looking for parents from all grade levels to help in several areas including: coaching, game volunteers (clock, door) and fund-raising volunteers.  We need and are looking for fresh ideas and encourage any and all to join us at our games. Its a great way to become involved, and meet other families while watching your children participate.

The Booster Club is responsible for providing funds which allows for financing of team and cheerleading uniforms, all equipment, league and tournament fees, officials and our Athletic Director’s salary. Some of these obligations are partially met through the athletic fee paid at Orientation Day.  St. James’ philosophy is to charge each athlete one fee for which they can participate in any sport(s) they wish.

Our fundraisers have been successful enough to meet our obligations. Major fund-raisers include our Pancake Breakfast in September and January. Other events sponsored by the Booster Club are Entertainment Book, Cookie Dough, and Pizza Sales.  We hold a family night in October as a welcome back to school event as well as a sport banquet at the end of the year.  All are designed for family enjoyment.  We ask that you participate in these events any way you to help us achieve our budget requirements.
