FSP - Hot Lunch Program

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year.  St. James School provides a daily hot lunch for those who wish to participate.  We use the Archdiocese of Chicago Food Service Program.

A student may order every day, 2-3x’s per week, or just one day per week.  This is up to individual student.  Applications will be available for subsidized lunches.  In order to process this application, you will need to have your gross income amount available.   Orders are due the 1st Friday of each month for the following month. If your child’s order does not make it in by this time, they will have to bring a sack lunch for that next month.

Please make note of the following suggestions/rules for our FSP Archdiocese sponsored program:

  1. If you do not order daily, please mark all orders on your calendar or a separate sheet of paper. We do not send home copies.   If your child is in the upper grades, he/she can make a note of what date they ordered in their assignment notebook.
  2. We do not give credits for absences, only lengthy illnesses.  Please call the office if your child will be absent for a week or more.
  3. If you are paying by cash, please send the exact amount.  We can not give change.
  4. Meals are available for purchase occasionally depending on the number of children absent that day.  Each meal cost $2.90
  5. On some days, extra meals may be available for purchase by students.  The cost is $2.90.
  6. Left over milk can be purchased for 30 cents.
  7. If you feel you may qualify for government subsidized meals anytime throughout the year, please pick up a form in the school office. We understand that sometimes income levels change.
  8. Orders will be sent home with your child unless you have made other arrangements.  Menus and order forms may be downloaded from this screen and returned to the office with payment.  The completed order form and payment is due by the 1st Friday of the month.
  9. Late order will not be accepted.
