The Manna Certificate Program is CONTINUING at St. James! This program is designed to benefit the school at NO extra cost to the families. Thank you to all the families, faculty, and friends who participated last year.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Over 70 stores offer gift certificates to the school at a discounted rate. The percentages vary. The school sells these certificates to school families, parishioners, and friends at the face value. The school has just earned a profit. Check out the stores on the Manna Order Form.
Participating families get DOLLAR for DOLLAR! The certificates are just like cash and can be used for weekly grocery shopping or as gifts. Lost or stolen certificates cannot be replaced.

2) Print the form and complete it. The completed order form and payment should be placed in an enveloped addressed “MANNA ORDER” and returned to school by the date specified above. Checks payable to St. James School MANNA. As the credit card companies charge the school a fee, we would prefer check or cash. However, if you wish to use a credit card the following are accepted: VISA, MASTERCARD. Please be sure all the information is filled out correctly especially the expiration date.
3) Have a STANDING ORDER! Put your order in for groceries, gas cards and it will automatically be processed for each order period. All you need to do is send in your check or give us your credit card number. When you have a standing order for the entire year, you will earn 2 hours towards your Parent Involvement commitment . You can always send in another order form if you want to order more certificates for those special occasions!
4) Certificates will be distributed the following week by the date specified above.
5) Certificates to grocery stores (Dominicks, Jewel, Sunset Foods) as well as other popular stores are available for purchase on a daily basis in the school office.
Proceeds will assist in school programs and Athletic Program.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE? TUITION CREDIT & EARN 1 VOLUNTEER POINT!
First of all, it is helping to raise money for your child’s school. Secondly, when a participating school family has netted the school $200 through their Manna purchases, anything netted over $200 will be split 50/50 with the familytowards a tuition reduction! For example, a participating family throughout the year purchases $2500 of certificates at 9% discount to the school, the school would have profited $225 (2,500 * .09). The $25 ($225-$200) netted would be split 50/50, so that the school family would get a $12.50 tuition reduction. The reduction would be applied on the last tuition payment. NOTE: When determining the total profit for credit card orders, 3% of the total order will be deducted from the total profit amount from each order since the school pays for the 3% fee to the credit card company. If participating families recruit family and friends to participate, they will get credit for those orders. The school family’s name MUST be on the order sheet in order to get credit.
